Groundhog Day

Groundhog Day
is a holiday celebrated on February 2 in the United States and Canada. According to folklore, if it is cloudy when a groundhog emerges from its burrow on this day, it will leave the burrow, signifying that winter-like weather will soon end. If it is sunny, the groundhog will supposedly see its shadow and retreat back into its burrow, and the winter weather will continue for six more weeks.

The Movie Groundhog Day
is a 1993 American comedy film directed by Harold Ramis, starring Bill Murray and Andie MacDowell. It was written by Ramis and Danny Rubin, based on a story by Rubin...

...The location for most of the shooting of the film was Woodstock, Illinois.
Residents of the city helped in the production by bringing out heaters to warm the cast and crew in cold weather.
The real Gobbler's Knob is located in a rural area about 2 miles east of Punxsutawney, but the film location gives the impression that it is in the town.
The Tip Top Cafe, where much of the film takes place, was originally a set created for the film, but local demand led to its remaining open as a real cafe. After it closed, the Tip Top Bistro took its place, eventually to be replaced by Bella's Gelateria which serves coffee and Italian ice cream.
Some of the film was also shot in Indiana, Pennsylvania with aerial shots also being filmed in Pittsburgh. An aerial view of the WPBH van shows the Pittsburgh Press and Pittsburgh Post-Gazette buildings, as well as Gateway Center.

Where is the "Seattle Greace Hospital" located?

Grey's Anatomy is an American medical drama television series created by Shonda Rhimes. The series premiered as a mid-season replacement on March 27, 2005 on ABC....
Fisher Plaza, which is the headquarters building for the media company Fisher Communications and Fisher's ABC affiliated KOMO radio and television stations for Seattle, is used for some exterior shots of Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital, such as air ambulances landing on the KOMO-TV newscopter's helipad. This puts Seattle Grace conveniently close to the Space Needle (which is directly across the street from Fisher Plaza), the Seattle Monorail, and other local landmarks. However, the hospital used for most other exterior and many interior shots is not in Seattle; these scenes are shot at the VA Sepulveda Ambulatory Care Center in North Hills, California. Believe it or not, a hospital from the rainy city is located in sunny California!!!!
That means, if you are on a trip to California, visit North Hill and take a look at these nice hospital.

CSI Miami? Nope. Try Hawthorne, California

"CSI MIAMI" is yet another example of a hit TV show set in one city, but filmed mostly in another.
Although a few scenes were actually shot in Florida (especially for the first two episodes), most views of Miami views seen on the show just aerial establishing shots, with the bulk of the real filming taking place in Greater Los Angeles.
